2012 Report:
Myanmar Int’l Textile & Garment Industry Exhibition (MTG2012) was hosted in Yangon’s TATMADAW Exhibition Fair Center from December 14 to 17, attended by 71 companies from 17 countries with total 160 booths.
The shows were organized by Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd., Hong Kong and Myanmar Garment Manufactures Association (MGMA), under the support of The Republic of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry (U.M.F.C.C.I.).
Speaking at the fair opening ceremony, Mr. H.E. U Myint Soet, Chairman of Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association said the trade fair paves the way for Myanmar to develop its current and future machinery industries with up-to-date modern technologies. He also emphasized that Myanmar needs to diversify its economic activities and promote exports to achieve a sustainable high economic growth and higher value-added products, and the exhibition is no doubt the ideal and useful platform for Myanmar traders and businessmen.
There were totally 16,853 trade visitors during the 4-day event, and most of them were impressed by the professional atmosphere and the variety of industrial machines displaying from world renowned companies. It was also a good chance for them to upgrade old equipments, seek co-operations, and discover investment opportunities. Furthermore, more than 80% of exhibitors were also satisfied with the outcome and feedback from the exhibition, and confirmed to participate again next year.
After a successful first edition, MTG have drawn more public attention not only in Myanmar but also ASEAN market. The shows are expected to gather more different machines from more countries in year 2013.
MTG will be held again from November 8 to 11, 2013 at Myanmar Convention Center (MCC). The organizers sincerely invite every industry professionals to join us again to participation in our show.
