Fimec is one of the largest worldwide events both in terms of exhibitor and new product numbers, the high level and amount of visitors, and also the relevance of the business deals closed. This great success the fair has become has its origins in the seriousness, competence and skills of our companies, as well as the congregating spirit created within the leather-footwear industry by the coalition of its representative organizations.
It all began in the 1970s with the initiative of men with entrepreneurial vision, at a time when the Brazilian shoe industry was growing rapidly, but lacked technology.Fimec was created to fill this need to foster business and find suppliers for the leather footwear industry.The first edition was held from November 9 to 13, 1974 and featured 138 companies from 12 countries.Since then the event has continued to grow and successfully endured even the most difficult economic periods, including crises in the sector, nationwide issues, threats to exportation and international crises.All these difficulties further strengthened the fair, which is known for its outstanding professionalism and business volume.
FIMEC 2018 Brail will be held in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil starting on 06th Mar, 2018. This Trade Show is a 3 day event and will end on 08th March, 2018
